MISTER G
About the Artist
Gabriel “Mister G” Escobedo is a Houston-based visual artist, muralist, and illustrator whose work blends graffiti culture, character design, and narrative-driven symbolism. Drawing from vintage comic aesthetics and street art traditions, his pieces combine bold color, graphic energy, and surreal imagery to create worlds that feel both mythic and grounded.
His practice spans large-scale public murals, paintings, and illustration, with a strong foundation in graphic design and screen-print–based artwork. Across these mediums, Gabriel approaches each piece as a form of visual storytelling—using recurring symbols and characters to explore themes of identity, transformation, and purpose.
His work has been featured in high-visibility exhibitions and events including Times Square in New York City, SXSW in Austin, Segundo Barrio’s Block Party, BBMF, and Art Basel Miami. Throughout his body of work, Gabriel often returns to a core visual language—wizards, Dobermans, and cosmic motifs—elements drawn from his personal journey and inner mythology. Together, these symbols form a cohesive universe that is reflective, energetic, and distinctly his own.
